Tyler and Tyco Be Kind is an endearing and educational story about Tyco, an adorable service dog, and his partially blind companion, Tyler. When Tyco encounters a young boy being bullied for having less than other kids and discovers that the boy doesn’t have access to essential resources, he decides to come up with a plan to help.
The bright illustrations and engaging narrative encourage children to use their
imaginations while learning valuable lessons about adversity, acceptance, and
kindness. Plus, all of the proceeds from publication and sales will go toward
funding the Tyler and Tyco Scholarship, a youth-focused initiative created to
provide children in need with essential resources like clothes, food, and
grooming supplies.
It’s moving day, and the adorable service dog, Tyco, is reluctant to leave his childhood home behind. Yet, he dutifully joins his dad, Tyler, a partially blind young man who wants to move closer to his office in Atlanta, Georgia. There, Tyco meets a little boy who gets bullied because he lacks nice shoes and clothes. Tyco thinks it’s unfair to bully those who don’t have nice shoes and clothes, and now he has to make some tough choices. The choices he makes would mean the difference between whether the little boy would continue to get bullied or not. In this heartwarming story, Tyco learns that life, just like a box of chocolates, is full of unexpected surprises.
